How to adopt from Hope Fur All

We are a dedicated foster-based animal rescue in Aitkin, Minnesota. Our thorough adoption process helps ensure that every rescued dog, cat, puppy, and kitten finds a loving, safe, and lifelong home matched to their unique personality.

Step 1: Application and initial screening

Your journey begins by submitting an online adoption application. Once received, our team conducts a brief phone interview to discuss your home environment, schedule, and expectations. To guarantee our animals thrive, we require landlord approval for renters, veterinary references for current or past pets, and a standard home check.

Step 2: The meet and greet

Because Hope Fur All operates entirely through volunteer foster homes, there is no physical shelter facility to visit. Once your application is approved, we schedule a personalized meet and greet either at the foster family's home or right in your own home, giving you and your potential companion the chance to connect comfortably.

Step 3: Adoption fees and medical care

Every animal leaves our care fully vetted: spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and feline snap tested. Standard adoption fees help cover these medical costs and are $275 for a kitten, $450 for a bonded pair, $200 for an adult cat, and $100 for a shy cat. Once final paperwork and fees are complete, your new pet is ready to come home.
